न मा मिमेथ न जिहीळ एषा शिवा सखिभ्य उत मह्यमासीत् । अक्षस्याहमेकपरस्य हेतोरनुव्रतामप जायामरोधम् ॥
Transliteration
ná mā mimetha ná jihīḷa eṣā́ śivā́ sakhíbhyá utá máhyam āsīt | akṣasyā́hám éka-parasya hétor ánu-vratām ápa jāyā́m arodham ||
Translation
ఆమె నాపై జాలి చూపలేదు; ఆగలేదు కూడా—ఒకప్పుడు నా స్నేహితులకు, నాకూ శుభకరంగా ఉన్న ఆమె. అక్ష (పాశం) కారణంగా—ఆ ఏకైక అధిపతి హేతువుగా—ధర్మవ్రతానుగతమైన నా విశ్వాసభార్యను కూడా నేను దూరం చేసాను.
