यज्ञासाहं दुव इषेऽग्निं पूर्वस्य शेवस्य । अद्रेः सूनुमायुमाहुः ॥
Transliteration
yajñāsā́haṃ dúva iṣe’gníṃ pū́rvasya śévasyá | ádreḥ sūnúm ā́yum ā́huḥ ||
Translation
యజ్ఞంలో జయాన్ని ప్రసాదించే, ప్రాచీన మంగళకరమైన అగ్నியின் సేవ (దువః) నేను కోరుతున్నాను. ఆయనను దృఢ శిల (అద్రి) యొక్క పుత్రుడు—ఆయు (జీవశక్తి) స్వయమే—అని పిలుస్తారు.
