Sukta 10.142
उत वा उ परि वृणक्षि बप्सद्बहोरग्न उलपस्य स्वधावः । उत खिल्या उर्वराणां भवन्ति मा ते हेतिं तविषीं चुक्रुधाम ॥
utá vā ú páry vṛṇakṣi bápsad bahór agna úlapasya svadhāvaḥ | utá khilyā́ urvárāṇāṃ bhavanti mā́ te hetíṃ taviṣī́ṃ cukrudhāma ||
మరియు నీవు నిజంగా, హే అగ్నీ, విశాల ప్రదేశంలో ఆసీనుడై, స్వధావానుడై, నీ మార్గాన్ని చుట్టుముట్టి ఎంచుకుంటావు. అలాగే పాడుబడ్డ నేలలు కూడా సారవంతమైన పొలాలవుతాయి. మేము నీ హేతి—నీ ఉగ్ర బలాన్ని—కోపింపజేయకుందుము; బదులుగా నీ శక్తి మా వృద్ధిగా మారుగాక.
