पृष्टो दिवि पृष्टो अग्निः पृथिव्यां पृष्टो विश्वा ओषधीरा विवेश । वैश्वानरः सहसा पृष्टो अग्निः स नो दिवा स रिषः पातु नक्तम् ॥
pṛṣṭó diví pṛṣṭó agníḥ pṛthivyā́m pṛṣṭó víśvā óṣadhīr ā́ viveśa | vaiśvānaráḥ sáhasā pṛṣṭó agníḥ sá no divā́ sá ríṣaḥ pā́tu náktam ||
దివిలో ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు, పృథివిలో ప్రతిష్ఠితుడు—అగ్ని సమస్త ఓషధుల్లో, సమస్త పోషణ-చికిత్సా శక్తుల్లో ప్రవేశిస్తాడు. తన స్వంత ‘సహస్’ (బలం) చేత ప్రతిష్ఠితుడైన ఈ వైశ్వానర అగ్ని, పగలు అన్ని ‘రిష’ (గాయం/హాని) నుండి, రాత్రియందు కూడా మమ్మల్ని కాపాడుగాక.
