निरिन्द्र भूम्या अधि वृत्रं जघन्थ निर्दिवः । सृजा मरुत्वतीरव जीवधन्या इमा अपोऽर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
nír indra bhū́myā ádhi vṛtráṃ jaghantha nír diváḥ | sṛjá marútvatīr áva jīvá-dhanyā imā́ apó ’rcann ánu sva-rā́jyam ||
ఓ ఇంద్రా! నీవు భూమి పునాది నుండీ, దివ్యాకాశపు ఎత్తుల నుండీ వృత్రుణ్ని సంహరించి వెలివేశావు. మరుతుల తేజోబలంతో నిండిన, జీవధనంతో సమృద్ధమైన ఈ జలాలను మా వైపు/మా అంతరంలోకి క్రిందికి ప్రవహింపజేయి—నీ స్వరాజ్యాన్ని అనుసరించి అవి మాలో ప్రకాశించుగాక.
