Sukta 1.33
परा चिच्छीर्षा ववृजुस्त इन्द्रायज्वानो यज्वभिः स्पर्धमानाः । प्र यद्दिवो हरिवः स्थातरुग्र निरव्रताँ अधमो रोदस्योः ॥
párā cic chīrṣā́ vavṛjus tá indrā́yajvāno yájvabhiḥ spárdhamānāḥ | prá yád divó harivaḥ sthā́tar ugrá nír avratā́m adhamó ródasyoḥ ||
హే ఇంద్రా! యజ్వులు (దీక్షితులు) తో స్పర్ధించిన అయజ్వులు (అదీక్షితులు) పై నీవు వారి తలలనే దూరంగా విసిరివేశావు. హే హరివః, హే ఉగ్రా! నీవు దివి నుండి ప్రత్యక్షమై స్థిరంగా నిలిచినప్పుడు, అవ్రతులు (ఋతరహితులు) అయిన వారిని రెండు లోకాల మధ్య అత్యంత దిగువకు తోసివేశావు—ఋతమార్గం ప్రబలుటకై.
