Sukta 1.31
मनुष्वदग्ने अङ्गिरस्वदङ्गिरो ययातिवत्सदने पूर्ववच्छुचे । अच्छ याह्या वहा दैव्यं जनमा सादय बर्हिषि यक्षि च प्रियम् ॥
manuṣvad agne aṅgirasvad aṅgiro yayāti-vat sadane pūrva-vac chūce | accha yāhy ā vahā daivyaṃ janam ā sādaya barhiṣi yakṣi ca priyam ||
హే అగ్నీ, మనువలె రా; అంగిరసులవలె రా; హే ప్రకాశవంతుడా, యయాతి సదనంలో వచ్చినట్లే—పూర్వకాల రీతిగా—రా. సమీపంగా రా; దైవ జనాన్ని ఇక్కడికి మోసుకొచ్చి, వారిని బర్హిషి (పవిత్ర కుశాసనం) పై కూర్చోబెట్టు; ప్రియమైనదాన్ని యజించి అర్పించు.
