Sukta 1.167
सहस्रं त इन्द्रोतयो नः सहस्रमिषो हरिवो गूर्ततमाः । सहस्रं रायो मादयध्यै सहस्रिण उप नो यन्तु वाजाः ॥
sahásraṃ ta indrótayo naḥ sahásram íṣo harivo gū́rtatamāḥ | sahásraṃ rā́yo mādayádhyai sahasríṇa úpa no yantu vā́jāḥ ||
ఓ ఇంద్రా! మా కోసం నీ సహాయాలు సహస్రం; ఓ హరివః (తామ్రవర్ణ అశ్వాల అధిపతి), నీ పోషణదానాలు సహస్రం; నీవు ఆహ్వానానికి అత్యంత ప్రియుడు. ఆనంద-సంపదల సహస్రం మా ఉల్లాసార్థం; సహస్రగుణిత ‘వాజ’ (విజయ-శక్తులు/సాధనాలు) మా సమీపానికి రానివ్వు.
