चित्रं देवानामुदगादनीकं चक्षुर्मित्रस्य वरुणस्याग्नेः । आप्रा द्यावापृथिवी अन्तरिक्षं सूर्य आत्मा जगतस्तस्थुषश्च ॥

citrám devā́nām úd agād anī́kaṃ cákṣur mitrásya váruṇasyā́gneḥ | ā́prā dyā́vāpṛthivī́ antárikṣaṃ sū́rya ātmā́ jágatas tasthúṣaś ca ||

దేవతల యొక్క విచిత్రమైన, ప్రకాశమయ ముఖం ఉదయించింది—మిత్ర-వరుణులకూ అగ్నికీ నేత్రమైన సూర్యుడు. ఆయన ద్యావా-పృథివి మరియు అంతరిక్షాన్ని నింపాడు; కదిలేది, నిలిచేది—జగత్తంతటికీ సూర్యుడే ఆత్మ.
