सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तां हत्वा पुनरेवाहं कृत्यमात्ययिकं स्मरन्।गत्वा चाह महध्वानं पश्यामि नगमण्डितम्।।।।दक्षिणं तीरमुदधेर्लङ्का यत्र च सा पुरी।
tāṃ hatvā punar evāhaṃ kṛtyam ātyayikaṃ smaran | gatvā cāha mahādhvānaṃ paśyāmi nagamaṇḍitam ||
dakṣiṇaṃ tīram udadher laṅkā yatra ca sā purī |
ఆమెను సంహరించి నేను మళ్లీ అత్యవసర కర్తవ్యాన్ని స్మరించుకుంటూ, ఆ మహామార్గాన్ని సాగి, పర్వతాలతో అలంకృతమైన సముద్రపు దక్షిణ తీరాన్ని దర్శించాను—అక్కడే లంకా నగరం ఉంది।
