Saptajana-āśrama Darśana and the Approach to Kiṣkindhā
Hermitage of Seven Sages; March toward Vāli’s Capital
pakṣiṇo varjayanty etat tathā anye vanacāriṇaḥ | viśanti mohād ye 'py atra nivartante na te punaḥ ||
'Birds and wild animals avoid the hermitage and whoever enters there out of ignorance never returns.
Dharma includes respecting limits: one must not trespass into sanctified spaces heedlessly; ignorance (moha) leads to irreversible harm.
A caution is given that the hermitage is avoided even by animals, and that careless entry brings danger.
Prudence (viveka): acting with awareness and restraint in places of spiritual power.
