विश्वामित्रस्य तपोविघ्नः, मेनकाप्रसङ्गः, महर्षिपदप्रदानम्
Visvamitra’s Austerity Obstructed; Menaka Episode; Conferment of Maharshi Status
तमुवाच ततो ब्रह्मा न तावत् त्त्वं जितेन्द्रिय:।यतस्व मुनिशार्दूल इत्युक्त्वा त्रिदिवं गत:।।।।
tam uvāca tato brahmā na tāvat tvaṃ jitendriyaḥ | yatasva muniśārdūla ity uktvā tridivaṃ gataḥ ||
అప్పుడు బ్రహ్మ అతనితో ఇలా అన్నాడు—“ఇంకా నీవు ఇంద్రియజయాన్ని పొందలేదు. ఓ మునిశార్దూలా, మరింతగా యత్నించు.” అని చెప్పి త్రిదివానికి వెళ్లిపోయాడు॥
Then Brahma said to him, 'You have not conquered the senses yet. O Tiger amongascetics, strive still.' Having said this he went toward heaven.
