The Manifestation of the Śloka
तस्य शिष्यास्ततस्सर्वे जगुश्श्लोकमिमं पुन: ।मुहुर्मुहु: प्रीयमाणा: प्राहुश्च भृशविस्मिता: ।।1.2.39।।
tasya śiṣyās tataḥ sarve jaguḥ ślokam imaṁ punaḥ |
muhur muhuḥ prīyamāṇāḥ prāhuś ca bhṛśa-vismitāḥ ||1.2.39||
అప్పుడు ఆయన శిష్యులందరూ ఆ శ్లోకాన్ని మళ్లీ మళ్లీ పాడిరి। పునఃపునః ఆనందించి, ఘనమైన విస్మయంతో దానిని పలుకుతూనే ఉండిరి।
Thereafter, the disciples of Valmiki chanted this sloka again and again in delight. They were greatly astonished and spoke about it often.
Dharma appears as faithful preservation and sharing of what is meaningful and true. The disciples’ repeated recitation models responsible transmission of sacred/ethical literature.
After Brahmā’s departure, Vālmīki’s disciples respond by repeatedly chanting the newly-born śloka, celebrating its form and significance.
Śraddhā (reverent attentiveness) and delight in learning: the disciples honor the moment by memorizing and circulating the verse.
