The Manifestation of the Śloka
चिन्तयन्स महाप्राज्ञश्चकार मतिमान्मतिम् ।शिष्यं चैवाऽब्रवीद्वाक्यमिदं स मुनिपुङ्गव: ।।1.2.17।।
cintayan sa mahāprājñaś cakāra matimān matim |
śiṣyaṃ caivābravīd vākyam idaṃ sa munipuṅgavaḥ ||1.2.17||
ఆలోచిస్తూ ఆ మహాప్రాజ్ఞుడు స్పష్టమైన నిర్ణయాన్ని చేసుకున్నాడు; మునిశ్రేష్ఠుడు తన శిష్యునితో ఈ మాటలు పలికాడు।
Very wise and learned, he (Valmiki), pre-eminent among sages, pondered over it (for a while) and spoke these words to his disciple.
Dharma is transmitted through disciplined reflection and teaching; insight becomes guidance within the guru–śiṣya framework.
Vālmīki, after reflecting on his spontaneous utterance, turns to instruct his disciple about what has occurred.
Wisdom joined with pedagogical responsibility: the sage converts experience into teachable knowledge.
