दुःखस्यानुचितो दुःखं सुमन्त्र शयनोचितः।भूमिपालात्मजो भूमौ शेते कथमनाथवत्।।।।

duḥkhasyānucito duḥkhaṃ sumantra śayanocitaḥ |

bhūmipālātmajo bhūmau śete katham anāthavat ||

‘హే సుమంత్రా, అతడు దుఃఖానికి తగినవాడు కాదు; శయ్యకు అలవాటైనవాడు. భూమిపాలుని కుమారుడు అనాథవలె నేలపై ఎలా శయనించును?’
