तौ तत्र हत्वा चतुरो महामृगान्वराहमृश्यं पृषतं महारुरुम्।आदाय मेध्यं त्वरितं बुभुक्षितौवासाय काले ययतुर्वनस्पतिम्।।2.52.102।।
tau tatra hatvā caturo mahāmṛgān varāham ṛśyaṃ pṛṣataṃ mahārurum | ādāya medhyaṃ tvaritaṃ bubhukṣitau vāsāya kāle yayatur vanaspatim ||
అక్కడ ఆకలితో ఉన్న ఆ ఇద్దరు నాలుగు మహామృగాలను—వరాహం, ఋశ్యమృగం, పృషతం (మచ్చల జింక), మహారురువును—వధించారు. మేధ్యమైన శుద్ధ మాంసాన్ని త్వరగా తీసుకొని, సాయంకాలంలో రాత్రివాసార్థం ఒక వృక్షం వద్దకు వెళ్లారు।
