रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
पिता हि दैवतं तात देवतानामपि स्मृतम्।तस्माद्दैवतमित्येव करिष्यामि पितुर्वचः।।।।
pitā hi daivataṃ tāta devatānām api smṛtam | tasmād daivatam ity eva kariṣyāmi pitur vacaḥ ||
తాత, తండ్రి దేవతలకైనా దైవమని స్మరించబడతాడు. అందుచేత తండ్రినే నా దైవంగా భావించి నేను తండ్రి ఆజ్ఞను నెరవేర్చుతాను॥
Father is divine even for the gods as cited in scriptures, therefore, looking upon father as my god, I will carry out his words, O father!
Pitṛ-dharma: treating the father’s command as sacred authority, and obeying it as one would obey the divine.
Rāma responds to Daśaratha’s painful order of exile, affirming that the father’s word must be honored.
Filial devotion and steadfast obedience grounded in dharma.
