रामदर्शनार्थं दारानयनम्
The Queens Summoned; Rama’s Leave-Taking and Dasaratha’s Collapse
न च शक्यं मया तात स्थातुं क्षणमपि प्रभो।स शोकं धारयस्वेमं न हि मेऽस्ति विपर्ययः।।।।
na ca śakyaṁ mayā tāta sthātuṁ kṣaṇam api prabho |
sa śokaṁ dhārayasvemaṁ na hi me 'sti viparyayaḥ ||
తండ్రీ, ప్రభూ! నేను ఇక్కడ క్షణమాత్రమైనా నిలవలేను. ఈ శోకాన్ని సంయమించుకోండి; నా సంకల్పంలో మార్పు లేదు.
It is not possible for me, O father! to stay here for a moment any longer. Restrain your grief. There can be no change in my resolve, O king!
Once dharma is recognized, wavering is rejected: Rāma treats duty as non-negotiable and urges the king toward steadiness.
Rāma indicates immediate readiness to depart and insists that his decision will not change.
Resolve (niścaya) and integrity—alignment between declared duty and decisive action.
