Give up the desire to live in the forest, O Sita! Living in the dreary jungle, it is said, has many hardships.
It teaches prudent dharma: decisions should be guided by truthful recognition of consequences, especially where unnecessary suffering may result.
Rāma summarizes the physical and psychological hardships of araṇyavāsa to persuade Sītā to stay in Ayodhyā.
Protective care combined with truthful speech—Rāma warns without exaggeration, aiming at Sītā’s welfare.
