लोकसमुत्पत्ति-वर्णनम् तथा इक्ष्वाकुवंश-प्रशंसा
Cosmogony and Ikshvaku Genealogy as Counsel to Rama
अंशुमानिति पुत्रोऽभूदसमञ्जस्य वीर्यवान्।दिलीपोंशुमतः पुत्रो दिलीपस्य भगीरथः।।।।
aṁśumān iti putro ’bhūd asamañjasya vīryavān |
dilīpo ’ṁśumataḥ putro dilīpasya bhagīrathaḥ ||
అసమంజునికి ‘అంశుమాన్’ అనే వీర్యవంతుడైన కుమారుడు జన్మించాడు. అంశుమానుని కుమారుడు ‘దిలీపుడు’; దిలీపుని కుమారుడు ‘భగీరథుడు’॥
Valiant Anshuman was the son of Asamanja and the father of Dilipa. Dilipa's son was Bhagiratha.
