पितृवाक्यपालनम्, गयाश्रुति-उपदेशः, भरतस्य राज्यग्रहण-निर्देशः

ततः सा सम्प्रतिश्राव्य तव माता यशस्विनी।अयाचत नरश्रेष्ठं द्वौ वरौ वरवर्णिनी।।2.107.5।।तव राज्यं नरव्याघ्र मम प्रव्राजनं तथा।तच्च राजा तदा तस्यै नियुक्तः प्रददौ वरौ।।2.107.6।।

tava rājyaṃ naravyāghra mama pravrājanaṃ tathā | tau ca rājā tadā tasyai niyuktaḥ pradadau varau || 2.107.6 ||

హే నరవ్యాఘ్రా! నీకు రాజ్యం, నాకు ప్రవాసం (వనవాసం) కూడా—అని తన ప్రతిజ్ఞతో బద్ధుడైన రాజు అప్పుడు ఆమెకు ఆ రెండు వరాలను ప్రసాదించాడు.
