महीमहमिमां कृत्स्नामधितिष्ठन्तमात्मजम्।।।।अनेन वयसा दृष्ट्वा यथास्वर्गमवाप्नुयाम्।
mahīm aham imāṃ kṛtsnām adhitiṣṭhantam ātmajam | anena vayasā dṛṣṭvā yathā svargam avāpnuyām ||
“ఈ వయసులోనే నా కుమారుడు ఈ సమస్త భూమికి అధిష్ఠాత (రాజు)గా స్థిరపడినట్లు నేను చూడగలిగితే, అది నాకు స్వర్గప్రాప్తి అయినట్లే।”
The glorious king Dasaratha also remembered his sons, Bharata and Satrughna, who were like the great Indra and Varuna, (now) away from home.
