Approach to Sarabhanga’s Hermitage and the Vision of Indra
tataḥ śakropayānaṃ tu paryapṛcchat sa rāghavaḥ |
śarabhaṅgaś ca tat sarvaṃ rāghavāya nyavedayat ||3.5.27||
Thereafter on Rama's query Sarabhanga told him all about Indra's visit:
Satya and clarity in counsel: the sage truthfully explains the situation, and Rāma seeks understanding before acting.
Rāma questions why Indra came, and Śarabhaṅga begins to explain the reason for Indra’s visit.
Rāma’s discernment (viveka) and the sage’s truthfulness and openness in narration.
