Sandhi Resolution Notes: यत्पापम् = यत् + पापम्
It highlights Puṣkara as a uniquely potent tīrtha whose mere visitation is said to erase accumulated sin, reflecting the Purāṇic mapping of spiritual power onto specific pilgrimage sites.
By stressing that simply approaching a sacred place brings purification, it supports a devotional worldview where grace operates through sincere contact with holy spaces associated with divine presence and tradition.
The verse encourages moral renewal: regardless of past wrongdoing, one should seek purification and begin again—using pilgrimage as a catalyst for repentance, restraint, and improved conduct.
