Concept: Reciting, hearing, or reading the foundational ninefold creation account—especially in a learned, dvija-oriented transmission—yields immense merit culminating in prolonged joy in Brahma-loka.

Application: Support sacred learning communities: sponsor recitations, read aloud in family settings, and listen attentively—treating knowledge-sharing (śrāvaṇa) as yajña.

FAQs

It refers to a traditional Purāṇic classification of creation into nine modes or stages. This verse highlights that the Puṣkara narration of that scheme is treated as a foundational teaching within the Purāṇa.

All three: a learned person is praised for reciting it to the twice-born (śrāvayet), while merit is also promised to one who listens (śṛṇuyāt) or reads/recites (paṭhet).

The verse states a phalaśruti (benefit statement): delight in Brahmaloka (the world of Brahmā) for an immense duration described as “a full hundred crores of kalpas.”
