शुष्यंति जंतवस्तत्र म्रियंते चातुरा जनाः । अथ शक्रादयो देवा ब्रह्माणं समुपागताः

śuṣyaṃti jaṃtavastatra mriyaṃte cāturā janāḥ | atha śakrādayo devā brahmāṇaṃ samupāgatāḥ

అక్కడ జీవులు ఎండిపోవుచుండిరి; చతురులు (సమర్థులు) కూడ మరణించుచుండిరి. అప్పుడు శక్రుడు (ఇంద్రుడు) మొదలైన దేవతలు బ్రహ్మను సమీపించిరి.
