dvijaśreṣṭha (an eminent brāhmaṇa/sage, addressing the Lord)

Concept: When the Lord is pleased, the devotee may request direct darśana of His svarūpa; intimacy is grounded in reverence.

Application: In prayer, combine humility with clarity: ask for inner vision (steadfastness, guidance) rather than mere boons; cultivate sincerity that invites grace.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shringara

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"An eminent brāhmaṇa, eyes moist with devotion, folds his hands and leans forward as he addresses Jagadguru, asking for the Lord’s own form. The air shimmers with anticipation—garlands sway, lamps tremble, and a faint outline of divine radiance gathers behind the unseen presence of Acyuta.","primary_figures":["dvijaśreṣṭha (eminent brāhmaṇa)","Jagadguru Acyuta (Vishnu, partially veiled or just off-frame)"],"setting":"A sanctified āśrama hall or temple porch with ritual lamps, flower offerings, and a low seat for discourse.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["lamp gold","deep maroon","sapphire blue","jasmine white","emerald green"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: the brāhmaṇa in pristine white with sacred thread, hands in añjali, facing Vishnu as Jagadguru seated on a jeweled throne; heavy gold leaf aura beginning to expand, rich reds/greens, ornate crown and śaṅkha-cakra symbols, gem-studded borders and traditional South Indian devotional composition.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate dialogue scene—soft lamplight, delicate facial expressions, the Lord suggested by a luminous blue silhouette; fine textiles, floral offerings, lyrical architecture with carved pillars; restrained palette with cool blues and warm gold highlights.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines—brāhmaṇa kneeling, Vishnu frontal with large expressive eyes, conch and discus prominent; lamp flames stylized; natural pigments with dominant reds/yellows/greens and deep blue for Vishnu; temple-wall symmetry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central devotee in añjali before a Krishna/Vishnu figure; ornate lotus borders, hanging garlands, peacocks at corners; deep indigo background with gold detailing, intricate floral motifs emphasizing longing for darśana."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"devotional","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"emotional","sound_elements":["soft temple bells","tanpura drone","gentle hand cymbals","incense crackle","hushed audience silence"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: ityukte = इति + उक्ते; punarāha = पुनः + आह; jagadgurum = जगत् + गुरुम्; darśayācyuta = दर्शय + अच्युत (a + a → ā).

FAQs

The verse centers on bhakti expressed as a direct request for divine darśana—asking the Lord (Acyuta) to reveal His own true form.

Acyuta is a common epithet of Viṣṇu meaning “the infallible/unyielding one,” emphasizing the Lord’s unchanging, dependable nature as the devotee seeks His personal revelation.

It implies humility and sincerity: the seeker approaches respectfully, acknowledges the Lord’s grace (“if you are pleased”), and asks for spiritual vision rather than worldly gain.
