एवमत्यंतनिःश्रीके त्रैलोक्ये सत्त्ववर्जिते । देवान्प्रतिबलोद्योगं चक्रुर्दैतेयदानवाः

evamatyaṃtaniḥśrīke trailokye sattvavarjite | devānpratibalodyogaṃ cakrurdaiteyadānavāḥ

ఇలా త్రిలోకం అత్యంత శ్రీవిహీనమై సత్త్వరహితమై ఉన్నప్పుడు, దైత్య-దానవులు దేవతలపై బలప్రయోగానికి ప్రతియత్నం ప్రారంభించారు।
