FAQs

It foretells a specific trial: the pain of spousal separation caused by an enemy abducting the wife, emphasizing the inevitability of suffering arising from attachment and conflict.

It indicates location—“on the far shore of the great ocean”—suggesting a distant, difficult-to-reach place that intensifies the sense of separation and ordeal.

It highlights the real consequences of enmity and violence (abduction by an enemy) and implicitly urges restraint, protection of dharma, and preparedness to endure hardship without losing moral grounding.
