अमीषां विप्रमुख्यानां पुराणं प्रति सम्प्रति । शुश्रूषाऽस्ते महाबुद्धे तछ्रावयितुमर्हसि

ఓ మహాబుద్ధిమంతుడా! బ్రాహ్మణశ్రేష్ఠులు ఉపదేశించిన ఈ పురాణాన్ని ఇప్పుడు వినాలని నాకు గొప్ప ఆకాంక్ష ఉంది; కావున మీరు దానిని పఠించి వినిపించవలెను.
