मनोवेगः सर्वगतिरुच्चैःश्रवस्समप्रभः । वाजिमेधे हयः प्रोक्तः शुभलक्षणलक्षितः

manovegaḥ sarvagatiruccaiḥśravassamaprabhaḥ | vājimedhe hayaḥ proktaḥ śubhalakṣaṇalakṣitaḥ

అతడు మనోవేగంలా వేగవంతుడు, సర్వత్ర గమనశీలుడు, ఉచ్చైఃశ్రవసుని వంటి కాంతిమంతుడు. అశ్వమేధ యజ్ఞంలో ఇలాంటి శుభలక్షణాలున్న అశ్వమే యోగ్యమని చెప్పబడింది.
