The Greatness of Piṇḍa and Prasāda on Mount Nīla
asmābhiḥ pṛṣṭametasya kimetajjātamadbhutam | tadā provāca naḥ sarvānbālakaḥ paramādbhutam
Narrator (a member of a group) describing that a boy spoke in reply
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
The verse is narrated in the first-person plural (“by us,” “to us”), indicating a narrator speaking on behalf of a group, reporting that a boy replied to their question.
A group asks what wondrous event has occurred, and the boy then speaks to all of them in response.
It highlights attentive inquiry and receptive listening—wonder leads to questioning, and the narrative turns toward instruction delivered by an unexpectedly “most marvelous” speaker.
