लक्ष्मण उवाच । वीराकर्णय मे वचः सुमधुरं श्रुत्वा त्वरातः पुनः । कार्यं तत्क्षितिपालमौलिमुकुटैर्घृष्टांघ्रि रामाज्ञया । सेनां कालबलप्रभंजनबलप्रोद्यत्समर्थांगिनीं । सज्जां सद्रथहस्तिपत्तिसुहयारोहैर्विधे ह्यन्विताम्

లక్ష్మణుడు పలికెను—హే వీరా, నా మధురమైన మాట విను; విన్న వెంటనే మళ్లీ త్వరగా కార్యం చేయి. రామాజ్ఞతో—రాజమౌళిమకుటాలు రుద్దబడే ఆయన పాదాలవద్ద—కాలబలము, ప్రబల గాలిబలమువలె ఉద్ధృతమైన శక్తిగల, సమర్థాంగములైన సేనను సిద్ధం చేయి; మంచి రథాలు, ఏనుగులు, పాదాతులు, శ్రేష్ఠ అశ్వారోహులు యథావిధిగా సమేతంగా ఉండునట్లు।
