The Devas (gods)
Concept: Śrī (Kamalā), beloved of Hari, is indispensable for the world’s fullness; her grace preserves prāṇa and protects existence.
Application: In crisis, pray not only for outcomes but for prāṇa-rakṣaṇa (steadiness of life-force): calm breath, ethical action, and surrender; honor the feminine dimension of grace in daily worship.

Sandhi Resolution Notes:
The verse addresses Lakṣmī: “Kamalā” (the Lotus-Goddess) and “Haripriyā” (beloved of Hari/Viṣṇu).
It suggests that without Lakṣmī—fortune, auspiciousness, sustaining grace—the world becomes ‘empty,’ i.e., deprived of prosperity, order, and life-supporting fullness.
It models humility and dependence on divine grace: the gods themselves pray for protection, acknowledging the sustaining role of the Goddess in preserving life and cosmic well-being.
