Concept: Desire finds its theater in svarga—trees yield ‘sarva-kāma-phala’ and vimānas embody earned privilege—yet the very catalog of enjoyments hints at their conditional, merit-dependent nature.

Application: Notice how the mind is drawn to ‘vimānas’ (status symbols). Practice contentment and devotion: convert desire into offering—use prosperity for dāna, seva, and disciplined living.

FAQs

A celestial scene: divine vimānas (heavenly chariots/aerial mansions) amid wish-fulfilling, fruit-bearing trees, attended by groups of Apsarās.

It signifies abundance and the fulfillment of worldly desires—an image often used in Purāṇic literature to depict heavenly enjoyment (bhoga) rather than liberation (mokṣa).

The verse highlights the allure of celestial pleasures; in Purāṇic contexts, such descriptions commonly function as a contrast to enduring spiritual goals, reminding readers that pleasurable attainments are attractive yet ultimately transient.
