Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A triptych-like panorama: on the left, men in a small boat battle dark waves; in the center, travelers push through thorny forest paths; on the right, a weary servant stands at a mansion gate, head bowed, embodying ‘aśva-vṛtti’—living by service. Above, a faint celestial scroll suggests the moral question: what livelihood becomes dharma when guided by restraint and giving?","primary_figures":["sailors/merchants","forest travelers","a servant (aśva-vṛtti)","symbolic moral narrator (optional)"],"setting":"wide landscape montage—sea, forest, and city mansion threshold","lighting_mood":"overcast realism","color_palette":["storm blue","pine green","mud brown","iron gray","muted gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: narrative triptych with sea voyage, forest trek, and service at a palace gate, gold leaf used sparingly to highlight the moral ‘choice’ motif, rich ornamental borders, traditional iconographic framing even for worldly scenes.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical multi-scene composition across a single page, delicate waves and trees, subtle human figures showing fatigue, cool palette with fine detailing, gentle moralizing atmosphere.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined montage panels, stylized sea and forest patterns, strong earthy reds/yellows/greens, rhythmic decorative separators like temple mural registers.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: patterned borders with lotus vines, central circular medallions depicting sea, forest, and service scenes, deep blue ground, gold linework, ornamental symmetry transforming social realism into devotional allegory."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes:

FAQs

It denotes an established mode of livelihood likened to a horse’s way—moving about, depending on opportunities, and often taking up service (sevā) as a means of sustenance.

They function as archetypes of difficult, risky livelihoods—travel, trade, hunting, gathering, or survival in harsh terrains—contrasted with the comparatively structured option of service.

It normalizes multiple legitimate ways of earning while implying that one should adopt a stable, socially recognized livelihood (including service) rather than unethical or disorderly means.
