FAQs

Dhanurveda is the traditional auxiliary discipline describing martial training—especially archery, weapons, strategy, and the ethical conduct of warfare—presented as a structured “science” (vidyā) alongside sacred learning.

It indicates reaching the highest limit or consummate mastery in knowledge—i.e., not merely learning many subjects, but attaining expertise and completion in them.

The verse presents an ideal of integrated excellence: scriptural study joined with disciplined skills and virtues (guṇas), suggesting that true accomplishment combines knowledge, capability, and character.
