तामुवाच सहस्राक्षः पुत्रोऽहं तव शोभने । ब्राह्मणो वेदविद्वांश्च धर्मं जानामि भामिनि

tāmuvāca sahasrākṣaḥ putro'haṃ tava śobhane | brāhmaṇo vedavidvāṃśca dharmaṃ jānāmi bhāmini

సహస్రాక్షుడు ఆమెతో అన్నాడు—“ఓ శోభనే, నేను నీ కుమారుడను. నేను బ్రాహ్మణుడను, వేదవిదుడను; ధర్మాన్ని తెలుసుకున్నవాడను, ఓ భామిని.”
