तस्य दुःखं च संतापो जायते नात्र संशयः । पुष्पैस्तु तादृशैर्देवान्सकृदर्चति पापधीः

tasya duḥkhaṃ ca saṃtāpo jāyate nātra saṃśayaḥ | puṣpaistu tādṛśairdevānsakṛdarcati pāpadhīḥ

అతనికి దుఃఖమూ దహనసంతాపమూ కలుగుతాయి—ఇందులో సందేహం లేదు. పాపబుద్ధిగలవాడు అటువంటి (అనుచిత) పుష్పాలతో దేవతలను ఒక్కసారైనా అర్చిస్తాడు।
