Suta (narrating the episode in the Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights dharmic kingship expressed through compassion—promptly protecting and uplifting one’s dependent (here, the son) when adversity strikes.
Though not a direct bhakti injunction, the affectionate response and humble action model the inner softness (dayā, prema) that supports Vishnu-bhakti and righteous conduct in sacred narratives.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyakarana, Jyotisha, or Kalpa) is taught in this verse; it functions primarily as narrative dharma—right response and duty in a royal setting.
