Rukmāṅgada–Vāmadeva Saṃvāda: Ahimsa, Hunting, and the Fruit of Dvādaśī-Bhakti
अभीष्टं हि महीपाल यो ददाति महीतले । पटहं वासरे विष्णोः प्रजाभोजनवारणम् ॥ ४७ ॥
abhīṣṭaṃ hi mahīpāla yo dadāti mahītale | paṭahaṃ vāsare viṣṇoḥ prajābhojanavāraṇam || 47 ||
హే మహీపాలా! భూమిపై ప్రజలకు అభీష్టాన్ని దానం చేసే వాడు, విష్ణువు పవిత్ర వాసరంలో డప్పు ఘోషతో ప్రజాభోజనాన్ని (విందును) నిషేధింపజేయాలి।
