Adhyaya 8 — Harishchandra’s Trial: Truth, the Sale of Family, and Bondage to a Chandala

कपालहस्तो दीर्घास्यो भैरवोऽतिवदन् मुहुः ।
श्वगणाभिवृतो घोरो यष्टिहस्तो निराकृतिः ॥
Transliteration
kapālahasto dīrghāsyo bhairavo 'tivadan muhuḥ / śvagaṇābhivṛto ghoro yaṣṭihasto nirākṛtiḥ
Translation
భైరవుడు—కపాలాన్ని ధరించి, దీర్ఘముఖుడై—మళ్లీ మళ్లీ గర్జించుచుండెను. భయంకరుడై, కుక్కల గుంపులతో చుట్టుముట్టబడి, చేతిలో దండం పట్టుకొని, విచిత్ర (అలౌకిక) రూపంతో యుద్ధదృశ్యంలో ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యెను।
