वीक्षन्ती सा ततोऽपश्यद् भर्तृदण्डं जुगुप्सितम् ॥

vīkṣantī sā tato 'paśyad bhartṛ-daṇḍaṃ jugupsitam ||

Translation

ఆమె చుట్టూ చూస్తూ తీవ్రంగా కంపించింది—ఆశ్చర్యంతో, దుఃఖంతో, భర్త-కుమారుల విపత్తుతో బాధపడుతూ. అప్పుడు ఆమె భర్త యొక్క అసహ్యమైన దండాన్ని (అపమానిత స్థితి సూచకాన్ని) చూసింది.
