Adhyaya 77 — Sanjna’s Withdrawal from Surya: The Birth of Yama and Yamuna, and the Emergence of Chhaya
yasmādvilolitā dṛṣṭirmayi dṛṣṭe tvayādhunā / tasmādvilolāṃ tanayāṃ nadīṃ tvaṃ prasaviṣyasi

The text links psychological states with cosmic manifestations: instability (vilolatā) is not merely personal but becomes a generative pattern producing a ‘river’ nature—moving, winding, and powerful.
Vaṃśa/vaṃśānucarita plus a tīrtha/geographical etiology embedded within lineage narrative (a common Purāṇic method).
A river as ‘daughter’ externalizes the flow of prāṇa/mind: when steadiness fails before tejas, the resulting energy takes a flowing form—capable of purification yet inherently mobile.
