ऋतवागुवाच सुव्रतेन पुरा वेदा गृहीता विधिवन्मया ।

समाप्य वेदान् विधिवत् कृतो दारपरिग्रहः ॥

ṛtavāg uvāca suvratena purā vedā gṛhītā vidhivan mayā /

samāpya vedān vidhivat kṛto dāraparigrahaḥ

ఋతవాక్ అన్నాడు—పూర్వం కఠిన వ్రతనియమాలతో విధివిధానంగా నేను వేదాలను అధ్యయనం చేశాను; వేదాలను సమ్యక్‌గా పూర్తిచేసి విధివత్గా వివాహంలో ప్రవేశించాను.
