कथयाम्येष ते ब्रह्मन् ससर्ज भगवान् यथा ।

लोककृत् शाश्वतः कृत्स्नं जगत् स्थावरजङ्गमम् ॥

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca kathayāmy eṣa te brahman sasarja bhagavān yathā / lokakṛc chāśvataḥ kṛtsnaṃ jagat sthāvarajaṅgamam

మార్కండేయుడు అన్నాడు—ఓ బ్రాహ్మణా, నిత్య లోకకర్త అయిన భగవంతుడు స్థావర-జంగమములైన సమస్త జగత్తును ఎలా సృష్టించాడో నేను నీకు చెప్పుదును।
