तस्मिंस्तस्मिंस्तु तन्मात्रं तेन तन्मात्रता स्मृता ।

अविशेषवाचकत्वादविशेषास्ततः च ते ॥

ప్రతి తత్త్వంలో దానికి అనుగుణమైన సూక్ష్మ తత్త్వం ఉంటుంది; అందుకే దానిని ‘తన్మాత్రత్వం’ అని స్మరిస్తారు. అవి అవిశేషం (అవ్యక్తం)ను ప్రకటించుటవలన ఆ తన్మాత్రలు ‘అవిశేషాలు’ అని పిలువబడతాయి.
