Adhyaya 35Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)

सोदकैस्तु क्रियाः सर्वाः कार्याः सञ्चयनात्परम् ।

स्पर्श एव सपिण्डानां मृताहनि तथोभयोः ॥

sodakais tu kriyāḥ sarvāḥ kāryāḥ saṃcayanāt param | sparśa eva sapiṇḍānāṃ mṛtāhani tathobhayoḥ ||

అస్థి సంచయనం తరువాత, క్రియలన్నీ ఉదకముతో (నీటితో) చేయవలెను. సపిండ బంధువులకు, మరణించిన రోజున స్పర్శ మాత్రముచే ఆశౌచము కలుగును.
