Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)

na vilambeta śaucārthaṃ na mukhenānalaṃ dhamet / tatra putra ! na vastavyaṃ yatra nāsti catuṣṭayam

Timeliness in purification and restraint in ordinary acts are part of dharma; additionally, one’s environment must support ethical living—choose a residence that sustains wellbeing and righteousness.
Normative dharma (ācāra) guidance; not a pancalakṣaṇa narrative segment.
Purification without delay points to immediate self-correction. Not blowing fire with the mouth symbolizes not using impure/impulsive breath (speech/prāṇa) to inflame passions; cultivate controlled ‘fire’ through proper means.
