सम्पूजयेद्यथाशक्ति गन्धपुष्पादिभिस्तथा ।
न मित्रमतिथिं कुर्यान्नैकग्रामनिवासिनम् ॥
sampūjayed yathāśakti gandhapuṣpādibhis tathā / na mitram atithiṃ kuryān naikagrāmanivāsinam
తన శక్తి మేరకు సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలు, పుష్పాలు మొదలైనవి ఇచ్చి అతనిని పూజించి గౌరవించాలి. మిత్రుని ‘అతిథి’గా భావించకూడదు; అదే గ్రామంలో నివసించువానినీ కాదు.
